Fall into Autumn with Friends of the Library’s huge blowout book sale!! Meet our Friends at

El Morro Events Center

Thursday, October 14th & Friday, October 15th
4:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Saturday, October 16th
12:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

The book sale inventory includes a large selection of gently-used books and audiobooks. Get a bag for $10.00 or become a Friend for $5 and receive a special discount. We will be accepting cash, local checks, or payment through Paypal.

We READ, We TALK Book Club – August 2021

OFPL’s Book Club is reading Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer.

Drawing on her life as an indigenous scientist, and as a woman, Kimmerer shows how other living beings―asters and goldenrod, strawberries and squash, salamanders, algae, and sweetgrass―offer us gifts and lessons, even if we’ve forgotten how to hear their voices.

Courses are geared towards individuals approximately 15-years of age and older. Supply kits are available at OFPL on a first-come, first-serve basis using the Supply Request Form.

Tune in on Monday, July 12th at 4:00 PM create and decorate your own chameleon using recycled egg cartons, paint, and glue. Inspired by Tails & Tales of Summer Reading 2021.

Walk on the Wildside Storytime – July 2021

Join us outside by the playground at Octavia Fellin Public Library Children’s Branch every Wednesday at 11:00 AM for bilingual animal songs and stories.
