One-2-One Technology Help

The Library will offer one-2-one technology assistance online on Facebook Live and through Zoom. Ask technology questions and get assistance during the live one-hour sessions.

Virtual Learning for Kids

FREE computer classes. Registration is not required but is available for anyone who wants to participate in the live stream course. Completion certificates available for live stream classes.

Learn to use Microsoft Teams, the online program being used by GMCS for the fall semester. With school becoming mostly virtual this year, it is important to know how to use the software. Parents and kids can learn together and make the most of online learning.

Navajo Rug Weaving Class

Diné weaver Lois A. Becenti with Diné Be’iiná – The Navajo Lifeway will hose a FREE Navajo Rug Weaving Class/Spin-Off on the third Friday of every month.

Don’t miss the next class on Friday, November 15th at the Main Library from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Learn the fundamentals and techniques of rug weaving in traditional Diné style, including warping, carding, and spinning. Please bring your own weaving materials and snacks. Beginning and advanced weavers are welcome.

Navajo Rug Weaving Class

Diné weaver Lois A. Becenti will host a FREE Navajo Rug Weaving Class on the third Friday of every month beginning October 18th at the Main Library from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Ms. Becenti is a lifetime weaver from Coyote Canyon who learned about weaving from her mother as a child. Her interest and inspiration in weaving peaked after taking weaving classes at Ft. Wingate Boarding School.

Learn the fundamentals and techniques of rug weaving in the traditional Navajo style. Methods for improving weaving techniques as well as different rug designs and tools used will be discussed. Beginning and advanced weavers are welcome.
