Mystery at Toadwort School

Join OFPL LIVE on Zoom Saturday, August 28th at 5:00 PM for a grand feast at the Toadwort School of Magic & Mayhem.

Headmaster Professor Bumblebee, has invited all the students, teachers, and ghosts to present the school’s newest and most powerful artifact, the Philosopher’s Scone. This marvelous object provides an endless supply of baked goods to any witch or wizard with the strength to control it. The hour has arrived for the unveiling—but what is this? Can you solve this magical mystery at Toadwort?

Space is limited to 20 individuals. Register below to participate by Thursday, August 26th. All participants will receive a dinner zoom invitation, their character descriptions, and a coupon for FREE pizza.

Nailed IT! Junior Cupcake Wars

Teens are challenged to compete in a Nailed IT Inspired Junior Cupcake War!

Join OFPL on Friday, August 27th at 4:00 PM at the Children’s Branch to compete against your peers in creating cupcake designs in 30 minutes. Do you have what it takes to beat the competition?

Prizes will be awarded to 1st and 2nd place winners plus all participants will receive a certificate and consolation prize. Registration is limited to 12. Secure your spot and register below by Wednesday, August 25th.

3D Printing Basics

Design your own bubble wands, Dungeons & Dragons dice, or small figurines. Send your completed project files to ofplprints@gmail.com to get them printed at the Library.

Be sure to include your name and contact information in your email so we can contact you once your 3D print is ready to be picked up. 3D Prints must not exceed 8 cubic inches.

DIY Dreamcatchers

Join OFPL in the Meeting Room at the Main Library on Monday, August 16th for in-person sessions at either 2:00 PM or 4:00 PM.

Honor and celebrate the Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial by creating your own dream catcher using crafting supplies.

Learn how to create a dream catcher using wire, suede lace, string, beads, and more while discovering its history and significance to the indigenous people.

Can’t make the in-person session? Request your supply kit after the event and make the dream catcher at home with a pre-recorded tutorial. Each session is limited to 20 individuals on a first-come first-serve basis.

Concentration & Focus Roller

Watch our previous self-care workshops on YouTube to boost your mental, emotional, and physical health. Ingredient list is available below:

Concentration & Focus Roller

Ingredients:
• Lavender Essential Oil
• Vetiver Essential Oil
• Cedarwood Essential Oil
• Jojoba Oil (Carrier Oil)
• Roller Bottle
• OPTIONAL: Label

Instructions:
1. Measure out 1 Tbsp or 15 ml for your carrier oil. In our workshop we used Jojoba Oil.
2. Add 15 drops of each essential oil. (Lavender, Vetiver, & Cedarwood).
3. Mix concoction together using a stirrer.
4. Carefully, pour mixture into roller bottle. You may have to use a funnel or squeezable dropper.
5. Put roller bottle top.

Usage:
• To use simply apply roller bottle to back of the neck and massage into your skin using your hand.
• Lavender helps soothe and reduces stress.
• Vetiver & Cedarwood promote concentration and focus.

Use for work, school, or at home.

Lawn Chess

Join OFPL at the playground on the west side of the Children’s Branch Friday, August 13th at 4:00 PM for Lawn Chess. We’ll be playing with giant pieces measuring over 1 foot tall! Masters and beginners alike are welcome to join us for this fun spin on the classic game.
