OFPL X-STREAM Summer 2022

Join us every Wednesday at 11:00 AM and Saturday at 2:00 PM at the Children & Youth Library for storytime activities, songs, rhymes, and read-aloud stories every week! This summer we are learning about ocean animals. Ages 0-4.

Timmy Telescope Solar Astronomy

OFPL X-STREAM Summer 2022

Join OFPL and Timmy Telescope in-person at the Children & Youth Library on July 13th at 12:00 PM. Learn about the sun, and how it is studied by scientists, with Timmy Telescope Solar Astronomy! Participants will create bracelets with UV-sensitive beads, and have a chance to safely view the sun using special telescopes and spectroscopes.

Join us inside the Rio West Mall behind Hobby Lobby on Saturday, December 11th from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM to go to infinity and beyond!

We will be celebrating NASA@Your Library by going to space with virtual reality headsets, astronaut games, and many hands-on activities plus delight in the magic of the holiday season at Santa’s workshop by making a holiday craft! Books, games, library cards, and more will be available.

Join us on Facebook, @galluplibrary, or YouTube at Octavia Fellin Public Library every Monday at 4:00 p.m. Create your own art using materials found around your home! Courses are geared towards individuals approximately 15-years of age and older. Supply kits are available at OFPL on a first-come, first-serve basis using the Supply Request Form.

Tune in on Monday, June 28th at 4:00 p.m. to celebrate LGBTQ+ Pride month by learning about the symbolic meaning of each pride flag and create your own heart suncatcher to display in your window.
