What is my Octavia Fellin Public Library card number?
- Your library card number is the digits and/or letters immediately below the bar code on the back of your library card.
Does my card expire?
- Library Cards are valid for two (2) years and can be renewed at any time.
- Teacher cards expire annually on August 15.
- Out of County cards expire annually.
Photo Identification is required to renew library cards if you have your library card, no-cost. However, if the library card is lost, there is a $2.00 replacement card fee. (See Replacement Card Policy HERE).

What is a PIN and why do I need it?
You may visit the OFPL front desk to reset your PIN if needed.
- Your PIN is used to log in to your library account online and to log in to the public computers.
- Your PIN is used to access all online library resources and databases.
What If I lose or forget my PIN?
You may visit the OFPL front desk to reset your PIN if needed.
- Go to the My Account login page.
- Click the “Forgot your PIN or EZ Password?”
- Enter your Library Card Number or EZ Username in the appropriate field.
- Click Log In.
- Click “Library PIN” to reset.
What does access to my online library account allow me to do?
- View library material currently checked out or overdue.
- View due dates for library material.
- View fines owed.
- Renew library material.
- Request a hold on library material that is checked out.
- View the status of your hold requests.
- Change your Personal Identification Number (PIN).
How many items can I check out at a time?
- Up to 10 items per card may be checked out.
How can I see a list of all the items I have ever checked out?
- The library does not keep a record of items checked on your library card.
How do I renew my library materials?
- You may renew materials at the front desk, through the library’s website online account access or over the telephone with your card number.
What materials cannot be renewed?
- AV Material: DVDs, CDs, and Books on CD.
- Best Seller Books.
Where can I return materials?
- Outside book return boxes are located in front of the Main Library (115 West Hill) and Children’s Branch (200 West Aztec).
- Indoor book return boxes are located at the Circulation desk of the Main and Children’s Branch.
How much are overdue fines?
Overdue fines are per item, per day and are as follows:
- Books – $0.10 (ten cents) (For a limited time, OFPL is currently not charging overdue fines on books.)
- Books on CD (Audiobooks) – $1.00 (one dollar).
- Playaways – $1.00 (one dollar).
- Music CDs – $1.00 (one dollar).
- DVDs – $1.00 (one dollar).
Overdue fines cap at the total cost of the item.
Can I pay my fines online?
- At this moment, OFPL does not accept online payments for fines.
- Both the Main Library and Children’s Branch accept cash and check payments.
- Main Library accepts credit card and debit transactions greater than $2.00
What if I lose or damage something I borrow?
- The cost for lost or damaged items is the full price of the item plus a $10.00 processing fee.
Do I have to have my card with me to check out materials?
- Library cards must be presented when checking out any library materials. Identification may be used only once (1), thereafter, you will be required to pay $2.00 for a replacement card.
