Teen Paint Night – June 2022

Join OFPL in-person at The Octavia Fellin Children & Youth Library on June 24th at 4:00 PM for an immersive workshop as you learn how to paint with acrylics.

In this first workshop, participants will learn how to make a color wheel and learn other basic painting techniques. OFPL is hosting an open call for artworks to hang in Teen City at the Children’s Branch.

We encourage our tweens and teens to decorate using the materials and techniques learned from this first workshop. Supplies will be provided to those in attendance.

Neo-Graffiti Art

Neo-graffiti or street art is a staple in any community that has evolved from a defiant graffiti art into a more commercial art meant to provoke thought. 

Join OFPL in-person on Friday, January 28th at 4:00 PM at the Children’s Branch to learn the fundamentals of creating stencils and the skills needed to make sidewalk graffiti.

Rose Map Bouquet

Join us on Facebook, @galluplibrary or YouTube every Monday at 4:00 PM. Create your own art using materials found around your home! Courses are geared towards individuals approximately 15-years of age and older. Supply kits are available at OFPL on a first-come, first-serve basis using the Supply Request Form.

Have you taken a road trip using an atlas and now it is collecting dust? Tune in on Monday, September 20th at 4:00 PM to repurpose your old maps into a unique rose bouquet to use in your home or during a special occasion.
