It is back to school time and the OFPL has some resources to make the transition easier. Join us for a live in-person class or on Facebook Live to learn about the different tools available to you and your student at the library.

Irish Dance Demonstration

Making Video for YouTube

FREE computer classes. Registration is not required but is available for anyone who wants to participate in the live stream course. 

Tech Classes Episodes are available for independent viewing, YouTube, @galluplibrary.

Learn the steps for making YouTube videos, starting with recording, great software for editing, video formats, and how to upload the finished product to YouTube.

Using Formulas in a Spreadsheet

FREE computer classes. Registration is not required but is available for anyone who wants to participate in the live stream course. Completion certificates available for live stream classes. 

Wednesday, September 16th at 4:00 p.m.

Learn how to use formulas to make calculations in spreadsheet programs such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, and LibreOffice Calc.

Classes will be available on OFPL social media channels @galluplibrary.

Drip Painting Demonstration

Celebrate Youth Art Month!

Join us for an interactive workshop learning how to use acrylic paint to create random patterns utilizing drip technique. All completed works will be displayed for the month of March.

Join us at the Children’s Branch on Saturday, March 7th at 2:00 p.m. or Saturday, March 14th at 4:00 p.m.

Art exhibition from March 9th to April 7th. *Open to all ages and skill levels.

Navajo Rug Weaving Class

Diné weaver Lois A. Becenti with Diné Be’iiná – The Navajo Lifeway will hose a FREE Navajo Rug Weaving Class/Spin-Off on the third Friday of every month.

Don’t miss the next class on Friday, November 15th at the Main Library from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Learn the fundamentals and techniques of rug weaving in traditional Diné style, including warping, carding, and spinning. Please bring your own weaving materials and snacks. Beginning and advanced weavers are welcome.
