Create your own art using materials found around your home! Courses are geared towards individuals approximately 15-years of age and older. Supply kits are available at OFPL on a first-come, first-serve basis using the Supply Request Form. Videos are posted weekly on Mondays at 4:00 p.m.

Tune in on Monday, March 15th at 4:00 p.m. to create Artist Trading Cards or ATCs are miniature pieces of art that are traded by artists around the world. Learn how to make your own ATC with an interactive workshop inspired by Courtney Cerruti’s CreativeBug class. Need inspiration? Complete the optional OFPL ATC mini-challenges and win a prize.

Collage Painting

Create your own art using materials found around your home! Courses are geared towards individuals approximately 15-years of age and older. Supply kits are available at OFPL on a first-come, first-serve basis and can be requested below.

Tune in Monday, December 21st at 4:00 p.m. for a demonstration on collage painting. Learn how to make a collage below. We will then apply to collage to make a basic sketch on canvas then continue and create a painting based on the print collage.

10 Oil Painting Tips for Beginners

Artists have been painting with oil paints for hundreds of years and oil paints continue to be popular worldwide due to their versatility, quality, and color. While getting started with oil painting is fairly easy, there is a little bit more to it than acrylics, since you are working with toxic solvents and mediums and the drying time is much longer. Individual artists who have been painting for a while have their own favorite brands, brushes, palettes, and mediums, but here are some general tips that may be useful to you if you are just starting out with oil paints.
